Third quarter grades for sixth grade consisted of the write up for the Hour of Code activity and the publishing of the Presidential Timeline project (Part 3 of Digital Space 4). Some students also completed the optional activity of taking a photo with the iPad and moving it to Dropbox. This was in preparation for the activities in the roller coaster physics project.
I am trying a new approach to this project this year. Instead of students just sharing their learning in a blog post with images, they will put those images into a narrated video and share the video on their blogs. We will use the app Explain Everything on the iPads to put our video together. I have already done a little demo of Explain Everything and provided a tutorial link for anyone who wanted to experiment with it, but I will go over the specific details this coming week so students are aware of what information they need to be gathering and saving during the course of the roller coaster project in science class. It should be "quite a ride"!
