Attention Parents: If you have not returned either the Google Apps permission form or the Internet permission form, please do so ASAP. If the form has been misplaced, you can find the forms online on our school website. Also, everyone who has filled out the School Reach Parent Survey that has been posted on the website since the beginning of the school year has been emailed the necessary access codes for PowerSchool. If you do not yet have your codes, please fill out the survey.
This week students finished their first Google Doc, which they had shared with me last week, and saw that I had left a comment for each of them in the document. They learned how to leave their own comment. After that they began working in Type to Learn, our subscription keyboarding program. Students had the option of taking a pretest and being placed at the appropriate level or just beginning with Lesson 1 to review f and j. Most did the Lesson 1 option. We will continue to work on keyboarding periodically in grade 4 so they can eventually take less time to complete class assignments on the computer or Chromebook. Please consider downloading the Type to Learn program for home use, which will allow students to pick up where they left off at home. Download information and access code are available via the Keyboarding link at the left.
